THE CSM PAVILION IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION FOR THE DEGREE SHOW AT CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS. IT IS A GRIDDED INSTALLATION THAT FOCUSES ON THE PARAMETRIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE CEILING. THROUGH THE DIFFERENTIATING LEVELS, ACCOMPLISHED WITH ONE-SIZE UNITS, THE PINRPESSION PAVILION GAINS A NEGATIVE-POSITIVE SPACE BETWEEN ITS INTERIOR AND ITS SHELL.

THE PAVILION WILL BE EXHIBITED IN THE CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS DEGREE SHOW 2016

. — Material: bamboo. Before the process started, it was important to know strenghts as well as the limitations of the material.

. — The pavilion was built on a grid system and all its elements within it. They are all connected and referencing each other.

. — This makes the chair very light allowing one person to assemble and move it around without any additional help.

. — It was important to have a step-by-step building system, as it should easy to construct and de-construct in a limited timeframe.
